CO-PRODUCTION OF MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE IN/FROM EMERGING COUNTRIES AND SOCIETIES

ABSTRACT In an era of decolonization and empire, the management field embraced US-led neoliberal counterrevolution challenged Eurocentric theory-practice hierarchy to produced relevant knowledge through managed learning theories. This contested reformist market-centric revolution (MR) against threat “reverse relevance” fostered by emerging/resurging barbarians subalternizes Southern theories-practices multifaceted development administration-management (DA) de-develops global majority privileging large corporations transnational elites. MR expanded in 1990s a post-Washington Consensus social perspective based on re-Westernalizing whitening appropriation-containment dynamics developmental neoliberalisms counter-hegemonic movements informed dewesternization decolonial which challenge-reaffirm racial capitalism structures. Age Development, was re-organized 2000s response “irresponsible” hybridisms emerging countries societies triggered learning-unlearning-relearning dynamics. article investigates co-production Brazil subversive complicity, focused privileged organization-school nexus.
